Description

A design solution for framing the fireplace and coordinating it with the interior furniture. On the assembly shown, the same test measured 138°C directly on the surface of the HPL frame and 415.4°C inside the firebox. The values describe only the configuration and the moment of that test.

Technical details

HPL is not a non-combustible material and is not automatically considered suitable for direct contact with the heat source. Substrate, shielding/insulation, expansion joints, ventilation and distance from the firebox are designed according to the fireplace model and the actual temperatures. The measured values are not a certification, a service limit or a general guarantee.

Installation

The firebox manufacturer's instructions and clearances, fire regulations and a specialist's check must be followed. HPL is not installed in the hot zone without a documented technical solution and a suitable non-combustible substrate.
